Where to eat in Florence

Updated: Nov 15, 2020

Creating food memories and treasuring food memories.

Second national lockdown in Italy had given my time to think and realize how much impact does the culinary industry has in this country, people from all over the world come to see the streets full and get delighted by the colors and flavors of Florence and its natural beauty.

Florence will come back again naturally but in my mind the memories of all of the fantastic tastes and places that this city has to offer is whats keep me optimistic to share.

I see Florence divided by to areas the one across the river and the duomo side. I have the fortune to like in Santo Spirito which is a beautiful traditional square that even now has a sparkle Italians stiil go out to the few pastry shops that are open and the markets full of fresh vegetables and fruits.

So the environment is what makes this area so pretty but the energy of the bars, restaurants, coffee shops is what creates this trendy and classic environment around.

One of my favorite places to eat here is Gurdulus, they just had a remodulation but the place is so charming and cozy that invites you to sit and have a glass of wine. Now during the lockdown they are very creative because they are also selling cold meats and cheese leaving the area of the restaurant beside and having this cute shop of fantastic and delicate products that is worth to try.

Tamero

Osteria Santo Spirito

Gusta Pizza

Pop Caffe

And on the other side of the river is where we find the more transited area of the city because the duomo and all of the touristic atractions are found there so here is my list.

Trattoria dall `Oste

Obica

Foody Farm

Le volpi é l`uva

Trattoria Marionne

Another beautiful area that is so much worst to visit is San Niccolo
